My research lies in the area of computational intelligence. One of my key interests is fitness approximation in evolutionary computation. The large number of function evaluations involved in the optimization process may be cost prohibitive or impractical without the use of specialized methods such as distributed computing or mathematical meta-models, to name a few. Approximation models are used to replace calls to the computationally expensive codes as often as possible. Another key interest is the design of (evolutionary) algorithms for solving online dynamic optimization problems. A list of my publications can be found here. Some of my source code that pertains to my research/publications can be found here. My resume can be viewed here. In a common project with Prof. C. A. Coello Coello (from CINVESTAV-IPN, México), the extended version of AFFG and its application to Multi-Objective Optimization is in progress. The English version of my dissertation has been scheduled for publication in International Journal of Approximate Reasoning. So, it is not able to download the pdf file any more, but the draft version is available here. You can go through the abstract of my dissertation. The full version of my dissertation is available here. (In Persian, 6.8 MB). |
