Conclusions:
Restructuring of the bibliographic record should be based on a knowledge approach to the bibliographic universe.
Catalogs developed according to the new structure would have the ability of providing a multi-level, yet easy access to voluminous works and voluminous authors.
The concept provides a clearer picture of bibliographic families and helps OPAC users decide on specific editions, manifestations, or items related to a specific work.
Further research should be carried out on to identify and standardize the type of categorizations and the terms illustrating the type of editions and manifestations of and works about a work.
