Ph.D THESIS:

"MODAL SERIES” A NOVEL APPROACH FOR ANALYZING THE COMPLEX BEHAVIORS OF STRESSED POWER SYSTEM"

In this thesis a novel method, called “Modal Series Method”, is introduced. The validity of this method is proved in the form of two theorems. This method does not use any nonlinear transformation therefore, it dose not have the limitation of the normal forms of vector fields technique in simulating nonlinear systems. Furthermore, the limitations of the technique of normal form of vector fields which, has been extensively used since 1990 in analyzing complex behavior of stressed power systems, has been demonstrated in this thesis.

Using modal series the complex behaviors of two stressed power systems are analyzed. It is demonstrated that the interactions between linear modes in nonlinear systems introduce some frequencies, which are not identifiable, by linear analysis. Moreover, it is proved that interactions may cause the damping factors of oscillatory dominant modes to differ from desired values for which the system controllers were designed. It is also shown that these nonlinear interactions cause the responses of nonlinear systems to approach exponentially to the responses obtainable from the linear approximation of the nonlinear system. The phenomena of nonlinear interactions can be seen in most nonlinear systems whose approximate linear systems have a host of different eigenvalues (real and complex).

MASTERS THESIS:

"IDENTIFICATION OF RPV STABILITY PARAMETERS FROM DYNAMIC FLIGHT

 MEASURMENT"

In this thesis, at first dynamic flight equations are driven and semi-Linearized about desired path. The semi-linear dynamic has ten parameters and eight states. All states are measured on line. Parameters are estimated by two methods Extended Kalman Filter and Recursive Least square. By the second method parameters are estimated very fast, and is acceptable for application.

EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:

1.    I have done a project in Khorasan Regional Electric Company. The main goal of this project was reducing power loss in transmission lines by controlling reactive power.

2.    My co-workers and I designed and constructed an automatic system for packing in Nan-Gods Factory.

3.    My coworkers and I designed and constructed a break test system for SAYPA Company.
