Course Description

The aim of this course is to achieve two objectives. The first is to use simple and efficient methods to develop results and design procedures, thus the presentation is not exhaustive. The second is to enable the students to employ the results to carry out design. Thus, most results are discussed with an eye toward numerical computation. All design procedures in the course can be carried out using any software package that includes singular value decomposition, QR decomposition and the solution of linear algebraic equations and Lyapunov equation.
